I decided to try a li'l vlog.
The sound quality is horrid.
And the singing is meh.
But this is really how it happens. I could have warmed up my voice and waited for a time when the kids weren't around and done this song until I had the perfect take.
And what fun would that have been?
I'm going to quickly post this before I lose my nerve.
I had to stop because it made me too homesick.
ReplyDeleteAlso Superstar? OFF THE CHIZAIN.
Is there a "LOVE" button on this thang?
ReplyDeletethat was really sweet :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you didn't lose your nerve--made my day!
ReplyDeleteLoved it! Good job!!!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! I want to hear more.
ReplyDeleteI love all the kids in the video. Makes me smile. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYup. Von Trapps.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! Isn't life grand? You are seriously awesome.
ReplyDeleteI had a huge smile throughout, your children are hillarious! (Your voice also rocks!)
ReplyDeleteI love your voice. And you. And your face. And the room behind you. And your brother. And you.
ReplyDeleteI miss your family.
la yen - I'm glad it wasn't because the sound quality hurt your ears.
ReplyDeletemrs. o - I think I should look for a love button.
cjello - thank you!
cw - i almost did lose my nerve...right after posting it. yikes!
Deb - thank you!
Jill - I'm thinking about doing more family song videos...hmmm...
Sell - you have such a beautiful smile.
ReplyDeleteAzu'car - do mi mi mi so so...maybe that should be our next number.
Emily - thank you!
Naomi - thanks! I guess the best way is to have them join me, no?
Monica - thank you. Miss you, too. And love. And face.
So sweet to see you interacting with your kids--and I loved how your daughter knew the song so well she was singing along and doing actions.
ReplyDeleteEvidence of a mother's love right here.
And I did I not know you were some sort of musical genius? The piano playing??? AWESOMESAUCE!!! You did Mindy Proud!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd your kids... LOVE IT!
oh I love you say VLOG
ReplyDeleteLOVE this. . .AND you. . .AND your kids dancing, jumping, singing, and being overdramatic (superstar!) in the background. Thanks for the smile today!
ReplyDeleteFabulous for so many reasons! You are a talented and gorgeous mother!
ReplyDeleteI am proud of you for posting it! I love that you let the kids join you. You are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I want more!
ReplyDeleteAnnette - thank you! We love to sing and dance together.
ReplyDeleteSteph - Thanks! I hope Mindy at least gets a good chuckle out of this.
vanessa - I learned it from watching @bernthis and @alexistlesa
wendy - thank you! Isn't she funny? She's so into it. No idea where she gets it.
Hailey - takes one to know one. Thank you. I miss you.
Shell - I don't know if it's so much that I let them join me...they just always do. And that's more than fine by me.
helenjane - I'm taking requests. Also -- will you teach me to saber a wine bottle? That was AWESOME.
The two things I covet more than my neighbors' car...singing and playing the piano.
ReplyDeleteI can't do either. But you can. And at the same time! Loved it.
I was smiling the entire time. That was awesomeness personified. Then squared... no, cubed. Or whatever. (I'm not good with math, but you get my point.)
ReplyDeleteLovely! I'm crying just a wee bit. (Or more than a wee bit). Love your kids singing with you.
ReplyDeleteIt just wouldn't have been the same without the kids- what focus you have! So sweet. It makes me excited for a little girl (except that we'll never sit around the piano and sing unless SHE learns to play it- so sad).
ReplyDeleteI love that your shirt was color coordinated to your fabulous new room, but I particularly love your back up singer/dancers. I just want to call them all to my house and feed them as many cookies as they want.
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed. :) You dance, you sing, you play the piano plus you're a triathlete. Is there anything you don't do?
ReplyDeleteGlad you went for it. I happen to think that the best thing about this post is that you were playing and singing with your kids all around. It's the sort of look at a real home that I LOVE!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I LOVE THIS! Your kids are cracking me up. Thanks so much. What an honor.
ReplyDeleteray-ray - but what you can do? have my daughter pee on you and still smile. (will I ever forget or stop being embarrassed about that? um NO.)
ReplyDeleteoh, gerby. Math's hard. (and thanks.)
Holly, oh, are you crying because it hurt your ears? I'm so sorry.
Jen - of course she'll play the piano. It's what girls do. And boys play ball. And all dogs are boys and all cats are girls.
CKW - they'll be right over. Also, didn't even think about my shirt! I should wear it all the time in that room.
Amy - I don't eat olives. Or raisins.
Tauni - thank you! Yes, they're always all around. Just like I like it.
Mindy - Glad you got to see it! And that you like it.
ReplyDeleteTHIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!
ReplyDelete... and as Mindy says in her song... "I do adore". ;-)
Thanks, Queen. I know you & your girls love this music, too.
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome! You're the bomb. So are your kids.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool...the song is beautiful but i just love the way we were able to get a glimpse into what your life is like...with your kids all over...but happy. loved this.
