Guess what.
I don't WANT to move to the center of the row.
Not even to make room for those coming in late.
Because I got here early so that I could choose my seat, and I'd like to sit on the aisle.
If I'm late, I'll have to endure being embarrassed by having to climb over people to get to that awkward seat in the middle of the row, smashed between two strangers -- the exact place you're telling me to go to right now -- which is the price you pay for not being early to the event so that you can choose your seat.
That's what.

I have this argument with my husband every Sunday. I get there on time and want an aisle seat and he wants me to scooch to make room for late comers. Bah, late comers. :)
So very, very true. I will defend the end of the row with you!
Oh I second that emphatically.
And also... don't bring your books the night before and save your seat. If I'm there two hours early with my whole family and the whole room is filled with books saving people's seats and the parking lot is empty you'd better believe I'm gonna MOVE THOSE BOOKS.
But maybe that's not what you're talking about.
I hate being late and try to avoid it at all costs...if you are late you should just sit in the back.
And that is why I go min an hour early to things and stake out my spots :D Try to make me move, just try;) I can play the preggo card now but even when I am not, you better believe I am not moving :D

Amen sister. I will gladly squish my legs to the side so latecomers can scooch past me and sit in the middle. I will not move my butt for them though.
It's the little things in life that matter.
Dixie Mom - I vote you win those arguements.
Emily - I knew I could count on you.
Christi - I don't think I go to any meetings where books are required. But I support you in moving them.
Jen - Yes, exactly. Sometimes we can't avoid being late, and in those cases...that's what we get, sitting in the back.
The Lewis Family - You go an hour early? Good on ya.
The redhead - Yup. Moving aside so they can get to the middle? No problem.
I couldn't agree more! :)
