You know how much I dislike hearing, "I'm just so busy!" as an excuse, but I do allow for when it's a reason. I'll spare you the details, and in so doing direct you toward what you should plan for on Friday (that's tomorrow!):
For years I've been wanting to be more directly involved with the City of Provo. My main issues: 1, please use reflective paint on the roads, and 2, a Harmon's in West Provo, please. I'm not sure how to go about getting either of these things done, so in the meanwhile, I'm thrilled to have been asked to be the Volunteer Coordinator for the Rooftop Concert Series.
In a nutshell: on the first Friday of every month, from May until October, there will be a free ("Did you say FREE?!") concert on the top level of the Provo Town Square/Central Bank parking ramp at the corner of 100 North and 100 West in Provo (please note: NOT the Marriott parking ramp).
Free concert. Local talent. Under the stars. Do you need to know anything else?
Maybe?
Well, okay.
To open this year's Series we're more than pleased to feature Fictionist. You've heard of them, the local up-and-coming band who is in the running to get their own cover of a li'l publication named Rolling Stone (speaking of which, please spend seven seconds of your life to vote for them, won't you?). Opening for Fictionist is the fantastically talented Paul Jacobsen & The Madison Arm. Emily Brown will be performing as well.
Thanks to Courtney and Vivint and Sarah and Justin and Mindy and Everyone Else Who's Awesome (I'm looking your way, Volunteers!) for making this happen! See you Friday!

Hooray! I'll see you there, because I'll be there, and so will you. And my headache is gone so I won't be such a grump. Thanks for helping to make Provo awesome. If I was mayor, I'd give you a key to the city.
Oh, Justin, I've been wondering about your headache. I'm being serious. I'm glad it's gone, and I'm glad we'll both be there on Friday.
