My favorite parts:
1. Pippa and her dress
Sue me. I could NOT stop looking at her.
2. The Archbishop of Canterbury's voice
"...living faithfully together, they may surely perform and keep the vow and covenant betwixt them made, whereof this ring given and received is a token and pledge..." Just say it with his accent and inflection. Do you think he'd read me a bedtime story?
3. Harry
Cheeky.
What about you? What were your favorite parts?
I was instant messaging my sister during the service and we both wrote 'betwixed' to each other... I think this word should be used more often!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Harry. I didn't get to watch it live, just caught up via pictures and recap clips online, but I think he sort of stole the show. The bride really was beautiful though, so maybe he didn't steal it completely.
ReplyDeleteLoved sister's dress too!
ReplyDeleteLoved how beautiful the Abbey was spiffed up with trees.
Loved the "talks".
Even...brother's scripture...who knew he had a great reading voice.
Loved the bells.
Loved it all!
I want to know what Harry whispered to William after he took a peek at Kate walking down the aisle. Too bad the lip readers didn't figure that one out.
ReplyDeleteI was stonewalled, love it.
ReplyDeleteThe dress was epic and so appropriate, she was stunning, STUNNING. The vail, the tiara, EVERYTHING! I love that she's a commoner and they married for love. Loved the sister and Harry. Love the name Pippa. Loved it all.
I loved all the things you mentioned as well. I love all the protocol and the pomp and circumstance. I get the biggest kick out of all those hats. And I love how Prince William seemed "shy" about the public kiss. Very sweet. And then he did it again.:) Love those Brits! Oh, and I loved the trees inside Westminster Abbey.
