"Um . . . let me check." No lie, I pulled out my phone to check my calendar. "Well, two of my kids are supposed to get braces next week, and one is having a birthday party, but those could probably be rescheduled."
Yada yada yada, I bought my plane ticket at 2:30 a.m. on Monday, and by 6:am on Tuesday I was on a plane, on my way.
I arrived on Tuesday afternoon and decided to rent a car so that I could do such things as run to Costco (I am who I am). And, oh yeah, drive to the North Shore.
The purpose of the trip was for Carina to review Aulani (the brand new Disney Resort) for Today's Mama. As Carina's guest, I was lucky enough to hang out with Miss Lulu whilst her Mama conducted some interviews, and I also got to attend some fun activities such as a mock wedding ("What's that? You want a Disney Wedding and a Beach Wedding? No problem!").
There is so much to tell you about this trip, too much for one post. Plus, I've got some other Awesome Stuff to tell you about this week. But stay tuned, and I'll tell you:

I cannot believe that Carina allowed you to wear Tevas in Hawaii. I don't know either of you any more.
Something like this happening to me might be the only way I ever get to see Hawaii since my husband refuses to go there...can't wait to hear all about it and live vicariously through your visit!
So jealous. I'm dying to hear if the resort is really worth it. I could kill two birds with one stone. Visit home and get a Disney experience with the kids. Write more sooner than later, okay!?

Jen - I hope you get the opportunity to go, you will LOVE it.
Nikki - I guess it depends on what you mean by a Disney Experience. I'll write about this later, but the resort is way more Hawaii than Disney, and it's a resort, not a theme park (no rides). Cool experiences, though (snorkling, etc.). From you, I'd love to hear more about Hawaii being home.
Vern - Don't think I didn't watch those episodes on the television in the living room of our suite. Carina was in the bedroom, watching the same thing. You know, so we could send text messages about it to each other, which is WAY different than what we do at home.
