It came! It came! I got my strapless heart rate monitor in the mail on Friday! Check out this quick video about the monitor:
The monitor wears like a watch, but I think it's more comfortable than a watch. It's really easy to set up and tells date/time (a watch!), and tracks your workouts: average heart rate, maximum heart rate, kCal, time, distance and pace. Easy peasy.
The workouts this week were tough - exercises involving using our own body weight as resistance (FREAKING BURPEES), but, as it should be, it was easier to do the exercises at the end of the week than it was at the beginning of the week, so I did feel a sense of accomplishment. Add to that the running, Zumba, and snow shoveling that I did, and it's no wonder I've had my fair share of being sore this week.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for OR dreading: How have I done during this challenge? Here's the before and after:
Total weight loss: 13 lbs.
Inches lost in waist: 3.5
Inches lost in hip: 3
Inches lost in thigh: 2
So who won the #iHeartOmron Fitness Challenge? We don't know yet. The winner(s) will be announced during the mamavation #iHeartOmron Twitter Party - the other ambassadors and I will be tweeting that night and you should be, too, ESPECIALLY if you want a chance to win a pedometer, a scale, or a strapless heart rate monitor .(2 winners for each item!) The Twitter party will be Wednesday, February 20th, 8-10 pm Eastern Time - be sure to RSVP!
This post is sponsored by Omron Fitness as a collaboration with Bookieboo Blogging Network and Mamavation - a community dedicated to weight loss for women and obesity prevention for families. I was provided with product and compensation for my time and honest opinions.
